Ostrołęka C with 1000 MW capacity is a new coal-fired power plant to be built in Rzekuń in Mazowieckie Voivodeship. The power plant is going to be fuelled by hard coal. The project consists of power plant’s main objects, internal road system and railway system, power grid and water – sewage mains. Ostrołęka C is going to work independently of the Ostrołęka B power plant which has been functioning since 1972.According to the investor's assurances, construction works will commence in 2018. Elektrownia Ostrołęka C itself would start operating in 2024. The cost of its construction is at least PLN 6.02 billion.
