While developed countries all over the world are phasing out coal and start using renewable sun or wind resources, Poland is still investing money in fossil fuels and coal mines. Building the coal-fired Ostrołęka C power plant means directing Poland towards a dead end because coal energy is expensive, ineffective and harmful. It is time to start the discussion on energy strategy appropriate for the twenty first century. We are the coalition of non – governmental organizations. Our purpose is to develop Kurpie in a sustainable way, with respect for the environmental protection and well-being of the local people.
